I realize that you can get there by spending a lot of money (i.e rent a car or take a private shuttle) but i am looking to save money. Lastly, what would it take for me to get back and forth to snowbird (i don't have a car). Also, how isolated is midvale - are there restaurents where i can walk to in order to get something to eat? are there any bars that are close by? Anyone? Also, how far is the days inn to slc? Please advise.Īlso, if i do stay at the days inn, can i still take the trax buses so that i can at least hit the canyons? and are these busses convenient (from a standpoint of hitting the canyons?
#TRAX SCHEDULE SNOWBIRD PC#
The trax buses from Midvale to snowbird/alta/solitude/brigton - are these buses convenient? This is important as PC has a great free and convenient transportation around town. So it all boils down to convenience and night life. This $90 bucks/night deal works great, but the portion for accomodations will be more expensive when compared to my PC accomodations as lift tickets for the above-mentioned resorts are a lot cheaper than lift tickets for the park city resorts. Or I could do what SKI53 did - book a room at days inn in midvale and ski alta/snowbird, brighton and solitude - with the exception of alta/snowbird, brighton and solitude are really small, or should i say smaller and there is an issue of getting bored as i will have 7 ski days at Utah. Plus, i have to spend some money on shuttles as well (in order to get to alta/snow bird and to get to and from SLC/PC). The only bad part is that i have to spend a fortune on lift tickets - skitrucks and have tickets to the canyons for about $55/day and one can easily get deer valley tickets on craigslits for about $50. Notwithstanding that, I can either stay at the PC, right at the base of park city mountain resort (found a room on craigslits for about $35/night) and ski at the canyons and deer vally (i hate park city because its like a flat hill to me) and take say canyonhop to visit alta/snow bird. I heading to SLC fron 2/27 to 3/7 but my buddy bailed on me so i am by myself.
